Wile E Coyote vs Bugs In Operation: Rabbit

Bugs Bunny and Wile E Coyote as a duo feels overlooked. I think it's better than most of the Coyote catching the Roadrunner cartoons. I love all of these except for Hare-Breadth Hurry (1963). That cartoon is kinda uninteresting and that's when Chuck Jones's short films became less exciting.

This is by far the best of their cartoons. It's one of my favorite classic cartoons ever.

Wile E Coyote builds a door next to Bugs Bunny's hole and it's off to an amazing start. Look at Bugs Bunny's face. So funny.

Wile E Coyote shows his name card. "Genius". Coyote is extremely well known for catching the roadrunner and being exploded by dynamite and other ACME products but why do people not even care a bit about his talking and his name card? It's meme-worthy in my taste.

Chuck Jones's Bugs Bunny is also the best. I might like Bob Clampett's portrayal a little more but I can't go wrong with how cute Bugs is at times.

I also love when cartoon characters do their own thing for the audience to watch for about 10 seconds. Just like with Sam And Ralph's cartoons I love how laid-back it feels.

What's rare for me talking about a cartoon I love is the walk cycle. Bugs Bunny pulls off the sickest walk cycle I seen in a cartoon.

This is a great frame. I need this as an actual picture frame. The colors are perfect.

This one too.

The cartoon starts to get even more funnier when Coyote fails his works and makes these shocking expressions.

This is by far my favorite scenes in the short. Wile E Coyote's best plans is saying he's such a genius when he clearly is making carrots, doesn't have enough time and gets hit by the train.

I never get sick of that moment.

By the looks of him, it pretty much felt extremely painful. 😬😅

The ending showcases the Coyote hilariously building the door as he did in the start and my goodness look at Bugs's expression.

Coyote says "My name is MUD" and Bugs explains Mud backwards is "Dum" Obviously means the word "dumb". Wile E Coyote may be a genius but I would certainly say Bugs is far more of a genius than Coyote is.

What a true gem and one of Chuck Jones's best cartoons he made. I would put it on my Top 10 Best Looney Tunes Shorts.

Now as a sidenote, I said that Wile E Coyote works alot better with Bugs than with Roadrunner. But I don't think all of the Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons are bad. They are really solid but in my taste I prefer something less redundant and more structured. I also like cartoons with some sort of dialogue in there to make more sense and more coherent.

I would say my favorite Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons are Fast and Furry Ous (1949), Stop! Look! And Hasten (1954), and probably a underrated one, The Solid Tin Coyote (1966).

Friday Night Fun With My Art

I haven't posted anything special but I think that's what makes this blog kinda cool. I can post my art, or talk about stuff outside of my drawings.

Now for some hand-drawn art

What's important for me wanting to show art as of the end of September, is that I'm having alot of trouble with school and it's my final grade so I need to pass to get the credit and have a good adulthood. I have 4 classes left to pass my entire education in high school and one of them is a piano class I did not sign up for. I never cared playing instruments and I always thought playing that bland thing was gonna to be an extreme struggle. I love music for listening to it, not playing it.

So instead I'm getting a internship to draw some stuff to promote my school. I don't get paid but at least it's something of a challenge.

It was a good way for me to talk it out and get the chance to get a new class that will push me through to the future.

Halloween Is Coming...

Since Halloween is coming and basically Autumn has begun I made a new character named Smoky. He's a skeleton who is full of expressing himself and does so by being perfectly still so he won't pass out and then collect his bones.

This is him.

Also model sheet. 👍

Dredd The Moose has a series I'm planning to make in the future. Dredd is mostly chilling at the beginning of every cartoon until he faces a horror character like Dracula, The Grim Reaper or The Witch.

Last thing is that his shoes are a mix of halloween colors. Beige, Orange and Yellow. And at the start, his house is so dark and quiet, he has to light a candle and start expressing himself to make the audience happy.

The Great Piggy Bank Robbery (1946) Daffy's Best

I'm talking about one of Daffy's best cartoons, better than Duck Amuck.

It's The Great Piggy Bank Robbery!

The reason why I wanted to watch this so badly it's because i seen a few clips of the short film. And when he started saying "WHY DON'T HE GET HERE?" I needed to watch it immediately and it changed my life. I was around 14 when I first seen the cartoon.

Daffy Duck is a huge fan of Dick Tracy obviously, i mean you can literally see the expressions he makes. Daffy then punches himself by mistake and dreams about being Dick Tracy, named Duck Twacy.

I remember watching the scene where Daffy is calling on phones and I was observing animated frames and Daffy's acting. The smearing frames are really good.

The animators are absolute geniuses. Animation is not like this anymore. We now have flash animation and emotional shorts that don't feel lively within it's characters. These were in 1946. That's 78 years ago as of writing this.

It's such an easy and pleasant cartoon to watch. I pretty much never get sick of it myself especially since it's going for a nighttime aesthetic.

Daffy's first monster he meets is Mouse Man, and he has some really expressive animation.

Daffy meets more monsters. Snake Eyes, 88 Teeth, Hammerhead, Pussycat Puss, Bat Man, Double-Header, Picklepuss, Pumpkinhead, Neon Noodle, Jukebox Jaw and Wolfman.

My favorite is Rubber Head mostly because the monsters that were mentioned are just mostly there. Rubber Head is really interesting.

The fight scene was amazing. I would like to talk about it, but that would take all day and I said it otherwise that it's amazing.

Daffy then finally searches for the piggy banks.

It ends with the most hilarious closings in a Looney Tunes Short. Daffy kisses the piggy bank but then realizes that he had a dream about being Duck Twacy, he actually kisses a pig from a farm and it's so clever I want to learn how to make clever endings like this. It's so funny.

I would highly recommend you watching The Great Piggy Bank Robbery (1946) if you haven't. It's one of my favorite classic cartoons, I love how colorful, expressive and easy to follow it really feels.

Hare Ribbin' (1944) Part 2/2

The underwater effect is really great in this cartoon. I also love how Bugs dressed up as a mermaid, literally plays tag and slaps the heck out of this dog and it manages to spin like crazy.

Also these expressions are so fantastic it makes me happy.

I made a new character and tried out drawing the  detailed expressions.

Bugs then slaps the dog with his fins and the animation on that is also really memorable.

The dog now gets mad and the expression is really masterful. I actually still need to learn how to draw his teeth like that. Great action scene.

He then realizes that for him being distracted by Bugs Bunny and trying to offer food, the dog freaks out. His mouth in the 3rd frame of this picture is Bob Clampett for sure.

Clampett is known for having his characters stretch their mouths and I always found that to be genius and expressive.

These 8 shots are massive!

Bugs does his antics to think he's ready to be eaten by disguising himself as a rabbit sandwich. Look at the sweaty tongue the dog has in these few frames.

The only problem I seem to have with the cartoon is the ending. In fact, there was a lost original ending where Bugs puts a gun to the dog's mouth, but in the more safer version on DVDs, he shoots himself and it's not really that funny, the original lost ending is way better. But the last 10 seconds is cool.

It reminds me of the ending in A Fractured Leghorn (1950) a underrated masterpiece.

The dog has actually came back in the recent show, Looney Tunes Cartoons. It's paying alot of homage to the classic Looney Tunes and it's a really enjoyable show if you ask me. Watched a few episodes already and they were funny. Also the backgrounds sometimes feel lively. I haven't watched this episode in particular. I should. It's called Bonehead. It looks like a good one. 👍

I'm finished going through a classic Looney Tunes cartoon that not gonna lie, this is gonna sound weird, have a guilty pleasure about. There's alot of cartoons I have guilty pleasures about like a few of the Censored 11 cartoons, the Sniffles cartoons and a movie I watched recently called Saludos Amigos.

I certainly hope you have a good day. Animation back then was extremely genius.

Re-Telling Blue Cat Blues from Tom and Jerry

I made it no secret that this is easily my least favorite of the Tom and Jerry cartoons period, yes I consider this worse than the clip-show...
