March Madness 2

I've been making alot of art this month. It's been a quick one and we're already on Day 20. Man, this year has been fast, but I'm liking it. I'll showcase my digital artwork and then my school ones.

Love drawing the old school 1920s fashioned style.

This is more on the modern scale.

I remade a set of duos I made back in May of 2023, this is them now and then.

Times changed so rapidly.

Three teenaged brats.

Wendy, Ika and Cindy-Sue.

This drawing here stuffs all of my favorite color palettes.

Cannot be Artmania without the silliness of both Dredd and Phillips as showbiz clowns.

The guy on the bottom right is new.

More construction study.

This is more or so my human drawings but with minimalistic effort.

A recent addition to the artmania cast crew. Don't know what to name her but it has to be beautiful and catchy.

Now we get onto the school drawings.

I remember first taking the 16 personalities and didn't even know what I was supposed to do and pretty much got the wrong results. A near 4 years later I started to become really good at knowing myself and learning new words from the website. So I drew the avatars because I love them all.

As of now this is my results.

This post's sponsor basically.

I can basically summarize my days drawing and at the same time learning about pre-college algebra.

It's one of the most intense and rotten interests in a subject I ever witnessed.

Here is me forcing to like mathematics made by professional scientists and physical engineering employees by a cartoonist.

I feel more persuaded studying more on how to draw real living people at this point. I sucked at self portraits when I was 8, but now at a suitable age, I need to basically draw what the gods of the universe make.

This is random heads I drawn using help from YouTube thumbnails. Three of them is supposed to be Frank James but it's not very great starts. It's very challenging to draw a YouTube celebrity in one take.

Now for some Dutcher and Ben Obvious. I have another episode idea where they become Pool Buddies. Dutcher gets a job as a swimming pool member, and Ben Obvious gets a job playing at a pool room. To me it's clever because they both feel like homophones.

BONUS 💥

Of course why not a drawing I did at home.

This is Stacy Lou. She's the queen of ballad and swing, the lyrics may not be too justified because I came up with it first attempt but hopefully you find these entertaining.

Fun Fact - While I was drawing this, I was listening to some of Crosby's songs. And the expressions feel identical to how I imagined what faces are made when Bing is singing.

March Madness

This week has been loads of me being bored and doing nothing while drawing on my phone.

The app I usually go to for drawing all of what I make is Samsung Notes, and the editing grain effects and lighting is all made by Picskit.

I just seem to improve every step in the right direction whenever I make a new post.

I always thought that Casper The Friendly Ghost's audiences were for kids and adults who want everything to be friendly and caring with it's utterly sweet character designs. That being said I don't mind friendliness, it's powerful, but doesn't fit in a fictional short film series.

Now here's some better characters.

When this show was popular and aired alot more often on Sprout, I started to lose my interest of the channel.

The Un-fabulous 4

Truly one of the most handsome actors. It's so hard drawing his hairstyle though so I always draw him a hat. Whenever that happens, he looks way more younger almost in vain of the late 1920s-early 30s.

My childhood was always around playing toys and watching shows I would tune into.

International Super Spy is among my favorite TV episodes of all time.

An emotionally stable dog. Loved drawing this dude.

This is what it would look like if real people saw Dutcher and Ben Obivous in real life and would make it to Hollywood only have it them being caricatured like the big heads and small body proportions.

Dutcher and Ben Obvious - The World Around Them

Dutcher is not only just a cartoon character, he's a man of heart, and the most grounded personality you'll ever see with one of my drawings.

These are some of his facial expressions I made over the course of a few weeks ago. They may look simple, but when you think about it, there's more important characteristics to him than just him lip-syncing.

I made this fella in December of 2021. There, he looked much different. I made him more dumber, he didn't have any clothes, and no range of personality yet, so as Ben Obvious.

When it came to redesigning him, I already had an approach to exploring other various of media, like classic hollywood and how fresh and straightforward it really was, so it became my only type of entertainment for a bit.

I made Dutcher more of an optimistic neighbor to a roommate who knows what they're doing more than the actual guy we're rooting for.

This is me trying to make Dutcher rotate his head for the first time like a model sheet or those Preston Blair heads, I need to step up my gain because Dutcher's scenes have alot of angles to them.

Before I get into actual Dutcher and Ben Obvious territory, I created a few sketches of human designs that I researched through the internet.

It's inspired by those 80s cartoon shows everyone seems to hate, but I don't. Seriously, it's appealing to me, and it doesn't matter if they don't move cartoony, they look really well-drawn.

As every film progresses, they usually talk down what they like to do today and plan out for the possible.

Look at how different both of these characters are in this drawing. I'm trying to obtain the best of what I like in cartoons. I'm not an expert at making deep, and emotional sense characters, but that what I don't want in my cartoons. I think it's used way too much nowadays.

Sure, I'm not excepting every cartoon character to have an original and strong personality of course I wouldn't but for being the protagonist of your cartoon, you need to have some sorta impact somehow.

What I love about putting these two together into a life changing product is that you can freely know what can happen or what you can expect because just like us humans, the Artmania World is much like Earth but has more cartoon aspects that make you believe you want to actually go there.

Every cartoon character had an episode where it took place in the snow, so why not Dutcher and Ben Obvious take a time to observe and see what nature is most known for.

Man, these guys are going to be loved immediately if I continue to talk them out too much.

Here's Dutcher looking pleased with Ben's fruitcake. Yes no kidding.

Their next attempt is for Dutch to cheer up Traggedy Hobbs.

What I love about Donald Duck's personality in his early cartoons is that he has a trait that not alot of characters usual master for and that is short-temper.

Charlie Dog is another example of a character that doesn't deserve the hate, I mean come on, he had literally one of the best concepts for his character I ever seen. He's desired to find a master, not only that but his dialogue is priceless. People are rooting for Sylvester and Coyote more than this guy.

I'm willing to talk about more cartoon characters and other inspirations from the real world I would like to go over but you'll have to wait till a post like that comes out.

For now, Dutcher is our modern leader of command.

The concepts of mostly all the shorts these guys value for is talking about random crap they observed. Just like with every series, there is one similar setting that strictly has to stay in and that's always make it start in the late afternoon because that's when Dutcher leaves work and comes to the house.

Maybe in one episode, Dutcher would just go inaudible like when he makes this quirky face.

If your trying to make a comedy, the words shouldn't be the only thing that's funny. I know that's what most directors and filmmakers want us to do, but that's not the point.

My statement is that comedy isn't just words. There's specific ideas and novelty behind it that's has some comedic value to it like it's film title.

But most importantly, the facial expressions.

This is what I'm going to get with these drawings when they're going to end up being animated like the late 40s Looney Tunes cartoons that I personally love best.

These drawings I made are too good to be barely animated. I want to make them animated but when your getting to see that one animated frame, it's honestly distracting and entertaining in of itself.

If you read through all of this so far, you know you love Dutcher so I'll continue to explain more about this lovable, handsome and eloquent being.

Just like with every timeless and active personality, they can be in whatever event they choose.

When I was watching alot of the classic cartoons, I always felt absorbed and felt more enjoyed with the ideas that never have been used in other cartoons. Seeing a character wear the same amount of clothes feels illogical to me.

I think cartoons were the best for it's variety of characters and different perspectives. It's like a new book you haven't read yet, it's like a genre.
Obviously animation isn't a genre but for it's use of concepts and character development I can't see why you should be afraid to let that type of fun go.

Bugs Bunny and Napoleon has to be the most unexpected trope I ever seen in my life.

I think that's enough Dutcher and Ben Obvious for one day.

Let's all know that honesty is a real thing.

A Christmas Post In April
