Backyardigans

The Backyardigans is one of my favorite TV shows, I loved it when I was a kid but I like it even more today, because of the atmosphere, characters and variety.

The episodes were jam-packed with songs, action and filled with imaginable places to explore. These scenes I chose are beautiful. This is one of the most pleasent shows I ever seen.

The backgrounds are gorgeous and realistic. There's a bunch of things happening but it's not too distracting either.

I remember watching these episodes. They were fun and enjoyable. It felt longer than it needed to be. Usually these episodes are a usual runtime for TV.

This is the final episode, I actually like this ratio more than 4:3 like they did in the first few seasons. This is awesome. This is what I like in medieval themes.

I also liked how the horses are modeled. It looks so weird but it fits really well.

It's relaxing. I wish these types of shows would get more recognition. They make you feel good and it has an appropriate pace.

Not to mention that all the main characters have memorable and distinctive personalities, and great designs. I love how we can recognize almost every character. Pablo, is a penguin, Tyrone is a moose, Tasha is a hippo, Austin is a kangaroo. And Uniqua. Most people including me could never knew what her species was. She was just pun intended, "unique."

The character interactions are also great. It's straightforward and to the point.

I also loved the different outfit style choices, in almost every single episode, each place they would have a unique sense fashion and it would fit the character role perfectly.

I almost regularly watch a few moments of Backyardigans anytime I would like whether its the music, the beauty, the inspirational characters, almost everything about the Backyardigans is peak entertainment for me.

If this show had way more of a broad demographic, this would've been more incredible, but I can see why it doesn't have the appeal to mostly the adults which kinda upsets me. I think it's the overall simple charm and sometimes unusual energy to the songs. But I love all of it. It's a show that I would recommend younger audiences to watch.

Thank You TV.

THE TV.

MY MAIN HERO.

I was a late 2000s kid and I was proud to be born in August 2007. That was when my biggest influences came in. On August 20th 2007, I was 18 days old, pretty much had finished my days at the hospital and experience what the world was like until I saw a show that ultimately led to an impact in my mind.

It was a show called Yo Gabba Gabba. It was on Nick Jr. and it featured so much amazing talents and had great songs.

One of its talents they had was Chromeo, one of my favorite music bands. Back then this episode aired when I was 2 so I didn't knew what a "chromeo" was. But mom certainly was hyped because she was a fan of it when I was born. I kinda think that I loved Chromeo by then.

But then there was another show that even had more impact.

The Backyardigans. I loved this show. There was so much positives. Sure this show was aimed at younger audiences and it was simple. But who cares? It's awesome. If this show was more aimed at a bigger audience this would've been the best show ever.

Not only did I love this show, but later on when I watched episodes and coming back to them, they had a huge infleunce on how I can create Artmania in of itself. There was adventure after adventure and it felt never-ending. Pablo, Tyrone, Uniqua and the others are all fantastic characters and have unforgettable personalities. It's kinda underrated nowadays and can be seen as Nick Jr's best shows ever.

I haven't mentioned the backgrounds, they are fantastic. Some of them look too real, but it's so lively I simply can't hate it. This show had a huge passion on me.

Of course Spongebob was on Nickelodeon when I was born, how could it not be? I remember having loads of dvds, most of them from Seasons 1-3. I guess I was that obsessed with it.
I still recall the classic episodes as the best TV episodes of all time and while nowadays Spongebob's humor is not that funny and has loads of unnecessary sound effects, I cannot blame them for keeping the show alive. It's that legendary.

Jack's Big Music Show was a show I pretty much loved as well, I just forgot how much I seemingly cared about watching it. I had a DVD of this show and I think I watched all the episodes on it.

I'm glad I came back talking about this show because it is very good. I swear some of the scenes had influence on me. The production is also very nostalgic.

Nick Jr. was the introduction to experiencing and watching stuff and I'm glad I had this channel. Some other shows I loved on the channel were

Fresh Beat Band
Ni Hao Kai Lan
Dora The Explorer
Blues Clues
Bubble Guppies
Team Umizoomi
Wow Wow Wubbzy

Also other channels besides Nick Jr. had shows I really liked. Disney Jr. was another great channel I remember waking up to.

Jake And The Neverland Pirates

Doc McStuffins

Octonauts

I lived for 3 years at Grandma's house with my parents until I moved out on September 2010, just a few years later, another channel changed my life and that was Sprout.

This channel got me hooked. So many amazing content and more adventure. There was the Sunny Side Up Show, I used to wake up everyday and turn on the TV and watch it and it was fantastic. My mom and dad once gave me a birthday card and it looked exactly like how the show did. Just comes to show you how creative my parents are.

By far my favorite show on Sprout was probably Super Why. I was obsessed with this show when I was little, loved the aesthetic, it was educational in a good way, and it even had fairytale references.

This is probably why I love the classic animated shorts involving these types of tales.

Another list of amazing Sprout Shows were

Chloe's Closet
Sesame Street
Justin Time
Pajanimals

Now I want to talk about movies. Now you may be wondering, this isn't TV shows, this is movies. Well I basically had DVDs of these and I did watch these on TV, it's not like I'm talking all shows. Get me? Good 👍

I loved the care bears and I watched the big wish movie ALL THE TIME. I probably had this movie on replay over and over again. I can't blame you just look at how the actual toys look.

I also loved the barbie movies. I even collected the toys. They were the most underrated movie series out there.

I also liked the Madagascar movie and the 2nd film. They were really fun. The designs were also great too.

I'm proud to live in a really amazing time and believe me I had an incredible childhood. I'm so lucky to not live with the skibidi toilet videos and Lankybox videos and just have these charming, fun and amazing cartoons on TV. I haven't started watching YouTube until I was like 10 years old or something.

If it wasn't for these shows, Artmania wouldn't exist. If I had the chance to draw, it wouldn't be as good as with the characters I made.
I would kinda be liking Looney Tunes but then again, what matters in life is what you are controlled in and it's safe to say the most important thing in my life is that I'm happy to be part of it and entertain people with my art.

The future is looking extremely bright and it so ever was at the start.

My Very First Drawings I Could Find

I first started watching and experiencing art when I was about a year old, and I grew up watching stuff on Nick Jr. the most. Shows like Yo Gabba Gabba, The Backyardigans, Ni Hao Kai Lan, and while I watched them back then, I had a real interest in doing something that would change my life. I was extremely hands-on when I was a toddler and I mostly colored with crayons on a messy piece of paper.

This isn't what I drew when I was a toddler but this was basically what my creations pretty much looked like -

For a few years I didn't really know too much on cartoon characters because I was still really little. 😅

But when I did, I really did and I couldn't stop drawing characters.

In fact the first drawing I ever found and discovered in my old drawings was a picture of Mario. I pretty much had limited color crayons back then but it's still a treasure.

Another Mario character called Bob Omb I drawn the same day as I did Mario. I felt like at that time I was obsessed with the franchise. I loved the characters designs, and I played games on my DS almost every day when I was 5 or 6.

This one is really interesting for one thing I used to have when I was little.
Of course I had toys when I was really young and I remembered having Jake and The Neverland Pirates figures of Jake and Izzy with their water jets, since I liked the show when I was around 6.

This probably isn't the very first time i drew the spongebob crew but it's the first in which is existed. Mr. Krabs looks funny, Squidward's eyes are not right and I can't see where spongebob is since I guess back then I didn't have a yellow marker.

Ok, yeah, I know I wasn't allowed to watch Aqua Teen for a reason when I was about 7 but I always loved the designs of Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad, when I first seen them they felt so different than any other character I ever seen back then.

I started to get way more skilled drawing characters when I was about 8. I was also in love for the sonic characters and basically drew every character at least the main ones. Fun Fact, I actually wanted to bring this to my elementary school once and my teachers loved it.

As of 2024, I'm a 17 year old wacky cartoonist nowadays in a love for classic animation and dancing and now my drawings look like this.

I became more of a digital artist and a cartoon character designer pro as well as drawing nostalgic like backgrounds. The future is looking bright out there.

Anyways posting more tomorrow. Bye-a! 👋

Friday Out On The Farm

Today was an interesting day, I went out and went to a farm, shopping and got pumpkins. I was drawing concepts of an actual mascot to the ...
