The Power Of Chromeo

I have alot to say about Chromeo. I've listened to them more than any other musician or band. They are superbly underrated for reasons.

They have such a cool and interesting novelty to them even when they came out they were unique and different than the other techno groups.

Unlike something like Daft Punk, Chromeo uses beats that don't sound too repetitive and weird and that's what I like about them most. The lyrics as well are spot on to the rhythm of the songs.

There was 3 albums I extensively remember listening to when I was around 6-7 and they were one of the most nostalgic pieces of sound I ever heard.

They were Art Pop by Lady Gaga, Lorde Pure Heroine and this particular one.

I would remember dancing to some of their hits on this album and coming back to it a few years later, I loved every single song.

My favorites are Play The Fool, Frequent Flyer, and my personal favorite Lost On The Way Home. Just too much classic hits!

Their other albums are great too and so is their music videos, their surprisingly creative and had inspiration on me.

I would highly recommend you listening to some of their songs if you haven't.

Here's one you might enjoy.

One of my favorite shows growing up was Yo Gabba Gabba, having countless DVDs and we even used to have the beatbox, I had countless merchandise like a DJ Lance shirt and toys.

This show was fire. One of the most underappreciated and coolest shows on Nick Jr. When the Super Music Friends Show was on during the episodes, it was extremely exciting.

In the Season 2 episode, simply called "Clean", the guests were Chromeo. And it was a blast, 2 minutes, teaching you how to wash your hands and some groovy music.

In my opinion, Chromeo should have more recognition, they have these cool, interesting chill beats, and a relaxing tone to almost all their songs, much what I like about musicians like Madonna, Michael and Janet Jackson. They just got this soothing but also energetic feel to them that keeps you invested.

Friday Fun With Art

Wanna see some of my recent art?

This is the place!

I mostly do these type of posts every week or two weeks or so to give a taste on my drawings.

Mostly paying tribute to classic animation.

I love warm colors and simple character designs. I also like editing my art and making the whole thing grainy and sweet.

Yo Gabba Gabba is a show that made my childhood. It had so much pizzazz, energy and taught good lessons to beginner viewers.

Not to mention the cameos were amazing and the songs were catchy and memorable.

Here's my sons.

The M&Ms crew and Master Shake were mind-blowing designs when I was little. I wasn't allowed to watch Aqua Teen for good reasons, but M&Ms were appropriate enough. I love eating the candies and I had toys of the aqua teen crew mostly bought for my parents since they loved the show.

More character designs.

If I post this on Facebook, will that mean it'll get a bunch of laughs? I seen so many AI posts and it's just so wrong. At least the minion memes were made by real people and it was showing some entertainment.

Garfield and the other characters in the series are surprisingly difficult to draw. By far the easiest was Odie. I admire Jim Davis's work and some other comics I was influenced were Archie, Little Nemo, Funny Side Of The World, Krazy Kat etc.

Have another Mania comic. I'm not doing these 24/7, I will do a new one sometime next week, mostly willing to make these if I feel like I want to.

Mostly took brief inspiration with a picture of Crash and Fake Crash in one of the Japanese ads back in the 90s.

A few other new characters, and one you probably have heard of before, Ox Fisher.

Well that's all I have for now. Hopefully you enjoyed every drawing I have made this past week. 👍

My Very First Drawings I Could Find

I first started watching and experiencing art when I was about a year old, and I grew up watching stuff on Nick Jr. the most. Shows like Yo Gabba Gabba, The Backyardigans, Ni Hao Kai Lan, and while I watched them back then, I had a real interest in doing something that would change my life. I was extremely hands-on when I was a toddler and I mostly colored with crayons on a messy piece of paper.

This isn't what I drew when I was a toddler but this was basically what my creations pretty much looked like -

For a few years I didn't really know too much on cartoon characters because I was still really little. 😅

But when I did, I really did and I couldn't stop drawing characters.

In fact the first drawing I ever found and discovered in my old drawings was a picture of Mario. I pretty much had limited color crayons back then but it's still a treasure.

Another Mario character called Bob Omb I drawn the same day as I did Mario. I felt like at that time I was obsessed with the franchise. I loved the characters designs, and I played games on my DS almost every day when I was 5 or 6.

This one is really interesting for one thing I used to have when I was little.
Of course I had toys when I was really young and I remembered having Jake and The Neverland Pirates figures of Jake and Izzy with their water jets, since I liked the show when I was around 6.

This probably isn't the very first time i drew the spongebob crew but it's the first in which is existed. Mr. Krabs looks funny, Squidward's eyes are not right and I can't see where spongebob is since I guess back then I didn't have a yellow marker.

Ok, yeah, I know I wasn't allowed to watch Aqua Teen for a reason when I was about 7 but I always loved the designs of Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad, when I first seen them they felt so different than any other character I ever seen back then.

I started to get way more skilled drawing characters when I was about 8. I was also in love for the sonic characters and basically drew every character at least the main ones. Fun Fact, I actually wanted to bring this to my elementary school once and my teachers loved it.

As of 2024, I'm a 17 year old wacky cartoonist nowadays in a love for classic animation and dancing and now my drawings look like this.

I became more of a digital artist and a cartoon character designer pro as well as drawing nostalgic like backgrounds. The future is looking bright out there.

Anyways posting more tomorrow. Bye-a! 👋

Welcome.

I'm SNG. A person who has creativity in the heart, and comedy in the soul.

My favorite hobby has always been drawing because it's an inspiration that will become the future in my life.

I started out watching a bunch of TV shows on Nick Jr. and Cartoon Network when I was little and then began going on YouTube and exploring at a big kid age.

Yo Gabba Gabba was one of my biggest influences.

But then, I researched Tom and Jerry on the WB Kids channel, and I had to watch more of it. It started to begin when I was watching a more popular video on the channel. Presumably a compilation clip showed Tom and little bulldog, Tyke. It showed Tyke all messy and Tom was willing to dress the little bulldog like a chicken in clever ways. It's funny. And I all the sudden heard Tom screaming at the top of his lungs after Tyke bite his tail. I was absolutely satisfied and wanted to watch more of Tom and Jerry throughout time. This was when I searched for another classic cartoon called Looney Tunes and it changed my life.

This is the scene that changed my life forever. From Slicked-Up Pup (1951) one of my favorite Tom and Jerry Shorts for that reason alone.

This was when I wanted to show the world what I got and began to have more of an interest in classic animation. The way characters moved, the immortal personalities, the wit, the timing everything in Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes was pitch perfect. Even with their roughest decade the 60s, they had some OK and influential cartoons.

And while I'm talking about classic cartoons, I want to talk about some of my favorites so far. But I got to leave it here. So until then, you'll see me check out some underrated gems you'll love to see. Bye-a! 👋
