Spookley

I'm sure someone like me grew up with the book version of Spookley and not the TV specials. I remember having this book as a little kid, it's nostalgic for alot of reasons. The colors, feel like autumn, it's lively and the story is quite memorable and heartwarming throughout it.

Now that we're close to October, and the Halloween season, here's some spectacular and beautiful pictures.

This is still one of the more amusing illustrations of this book in my opinion, I love the different shapes, colors given on each of the pumpkins.

Something from My Childhood

I was thinking about this today and I remembered actually having this thing when I was very young.

This isn't my picture. I took it off Amazon.

This and listening to Lorde Pure Heroine, and watching a walk through on YouTube, Lalaloopsy Carnival of Friends. It all happened in a matter of an hour worth taking a nostalgic trip.

Camping Day

I remember this book vividly. I always wanted to know more about these characters, but I always thought this one was one of their better illustrated books.

I almost always read this before going to bed.

I love their house. I like the simple colors to the walls.

These are all beautifully drawn.

What's funny is that every character speaks at least only one word but they still have  personality.

This page is probably one of my favorites. I love how it feels like two separate scenes at once.

Backyardigans

The Backyardigans is one of my favorite TV shows, I loved it when I was a kid but I like it even more today, because of the atmosphere, characters and variety.

The episodes were jam-packed with songs, action and filled with imaginable places to explore. These scenes I chose are beautiful. This is one of the most pleasent shows I ever seen.

The backgrounds are gorgeous and realistic. There's a bunch of things happening but it's not too distracting either.

I remember watching these episodes. They were fun and enjoyable. It felt longer than it needed to be. Usually these episodes are a usual runtime for TV.

This is the final episode, I actually like this ratio more than 4:3 like they did in the first few seasons. This is awesome. This is what I like in medieval themes.

I also liked how the horses are modeled. It looks so weird but it fits really well.

It's relaxing. I wish these types of shows would get more recognition. They make you feel good and it has an appropriate pace.

Not to mention that all the main characters have memorable and distinctive personalities, and great designs. I love how we can recognize almost every character. Pablo, is a penguin, Tyrone is a moose, Tasha is a hippo, Austin is a kangaroo. And Uniqua. Most people including me could never knew what her species was. She was just pun intended, "unique."

The character interactions are also great. It's straightforward and to the point.

I also loved the different outfit style choices, in almost every single episode, each place they would have a unique sense fashion and it would fit the character role perfectly.

I almost regularly watch a few moments of Backyardigans anytime I would like whether its the music, the beauty, the inspirational characters, almost everything about the Backyardigans is peak entertainment for me.

If this show had way more of a broad demographic, this would've been more incredible, but I can see why it doesn't have the appeal to mostly the adults which kinda upsets me. I think it's the overall simple charm and sometimes unusual energy to the songs. But I love all of it. It's a show that I would recommend younger audiences to watch.

Reading Wonders

I remember these.

We of course used these in elementary school. I first had these set of books in 1st grade and they still look appealing and amusing to this day.

What was so unique about Reading Wonders is that they would introduce you to a new character every grade level from K-6, I like all of the designs and visuals in these covers.

I love the crab the most. This cover here is stunning and natural.

What I like about 3D art is it's more technical possibilities. When I watch a 3D animated movie like in most instances Pixar, I love it's more realistic appeal, it's also been more of a usual thing for art mediums. While I tend to be more drawn to the old 2D traditional style, I respect 3D for pushing more boundaries.

I would love to show you more of what I experienced in school if I want to.

Nostalgic Appeal - The Threequel (Childhood TV Shows)

This is Part 3 Of Nostalgic Appeal

This part I'll be talking about a genre of shows I watched that feel warm inside, these TV shows I watched over countless of times.

This is a rare show that aired on Nick Jr, called Blue's Room, I remember this show and I watched a few of the episodes, and just coming back to it, this show looked absolutely gorgeous and highly enjoyable. Such an appealing show.

I absolutely love the colors in this shot, there's a ton of purple, but it's not blended in and has a ton of different tones like with the girl's skin, and the treasure box. These colors are really unique but natural.

This is the episode I remember the most where they chat about If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, classic book and great colors, seriously these shots hit me.

I don't think this show aired at all on the Nick Jr. channel when I was born, but I did like Blue's Clues and one time, I recieved a DVD, and was watching the episodes from there.

This is the one.

This show alongside others I watched had the same, going on an adventure, solving problems and using imaginations premise. This was so popular on kids television programs when I was very young and lets just say that was for the best.

The next show you probably seen me mention before in my Thank You TV post.

https://sngexplorationblog.blogspot.com/2024/10/thank-you-tv.html?m=1

This show was really fun. The entire production felt nostalgic and pleasing. I also liked the characters and the songs.

The colors are out of the ordinary. I don't think you'll ever see such a unique set of colors in any other show except this one. This makes the show more entertaining if you ask me.

Pajanimals had alot of potential. I didn't watch this show as much as the previous ones but I still liked it and have sweet memories for it.

The cast of characters are also colorful and memorable. For instance this image, the sky looks absolutely stunning. I also love the calm atmosphere, I wish I would live in this place, I bet there's no bustling and busy shenanigans, and it's all so soft and whimsical.

The entire premise of this show was genius.

This is what it feels like when they turn the lights off. Love it.

This is a random frame I captured. It's a really great shot. This feels like your sucked into simpler times. The baby blues, the little toys on the shelf, the line pattern on the walls, this scene is perfect to observe.

Sprout was my all-time favorite channel as a kid and I would remember watching a little of Sesame Street, wasn't the biggest fan of the entirity of the show, but I did like some of the segments, there was this one series called Ernie and Bert's Great Adventures and always recalled the intro, this is nostalgic to the max.

I love the things going on in the theme song. The claymation is also really well animated.

I love this type of stuff, it really sucks you into another world but the characters are still authentic and actual.

Here's links Parts 1-2.
