Montreal Fox And Spoiled Brat

Back when I was a sophomore, I started to create characters that would become a main stay in the Artmania series. And in the last few months I made this fuzzy fox named Montreal. I thought the name sounded catchy.

The more I drew him, his colors were more recognizable like with his light pink pants.

Montreal Fox usually rivals with Spoiled Brat, a red bulb nosed cat who loves to catch the quick-witted fox, but whenever he gives up, he really does and acts like he's badly behaved. He mostly says "OOOOOOOOHHHH, I HATE THAT!"

Also when 11th grade was almost over and I'm getting to be a senior in high school, I did some info on these guys.

Yes. If you read that, Montreal Fox's cartoons are paying homage to Tex Avery Cartoons.

I actually remade my first drawing of Montreal Fox's pose.

Montreal Fox's first short is going to be the 50th episode in the Artmania Series. I planned it and I'm sticking to it.

My Cute Space Uromos

About a year ago I made these cute little creatures that live in space. They come from all different looks, colors and personalities.

The introduction starts like this -

There lived small critters, in a medium sized window, in a big rocket ship.

I also made the planet that they are exploring.

They look like this.

They were inspired by these cuties in Looney Tunes cartoon "Russian Rhapsody" that cartoon is really wacky and I found it to be a classic. And these designs are worth remembering for my drawing career.

What I wanted to do with these creatures, is to make them playful, and comedic. They go by saying "Yip, Oi, I, Moy" or random 2-3 letter words that have no meaning but fit the characters well.

The reason why I named them Uromos is that it felt new and space-like. It's pretty much original as well.

I first sketched these in June of 2023, by that time I was watching a ton of Looney Tunes and I was stuck watching wacky, funny characters for the most part. Some of these uromo characters are actually based on classic hollywood celebrities.

They come as really friendly and endearing spirits, they are all willing to move, dance and sing.

I will be able to make an episode of these guys once I'm a pro. It will be like my 30th episode or something, I have no idea.

Yesterday was kinda busy, so good to be coming back after 2 days.

See you next time on what I'm going to post next. Bye-a!

Artmania Cartoon Cats!

Pretty much the first post on my blog that only includes my current artwork. I didn't want to keep on talking about cartoons I didn't make for a long streak, so I decided to take a break and show you my new recent characters.

Artmania Party Cats!

Ralph The Cat. He's the most recognizable of the bunch even though he's a bit of an introvert. He always has the right to speak.

Gilbert The Freckled Cat is the main lead singer. He has alot of energy, hardworking, efficient, and has a perfect voice. He also loves to sing 40s music. In my opinion my favorite decade of music ever.

Roots The Cat is the smooth singer of the bunch. He's also light-hearted. Earning himself as a hippie like personality since his name is Roots, he examines more grounded experiences.

Ol' Hiredhand is the most helpful member in the party. He's also got a smoky tail, some say that his tail can literally make it hazardous. You have to be careful about this cat because if you dare step on his tail, you might experience something burning on your feet.

"Ay, fellas this guy has two-tails! Why would we never be born like dis guy?" said a bunch of alley cats meeting on one of the most unique and surprisingly overlooked member in the cat party, Roscow the Double-Tailed Cat is known for being playful, energetic, and is good at sports.

Marcoco Polo-Lolo is the shortest of the lot. His name obviously is a inspiration on the famous explorer, Marco Polo. Unlike Polo, Marcoco Polo-Lolo rarely explores at all and likes to be mischievous and quick witted.

One of the latest posters I made was a pitch on Glenn Miller's classic song, Kalamazoo. When I made this poster, I loved the original song. Glenn Miller is one of my favorite musicians and his songs can be really relaxing, and this is by far his best. When I'm going to make fanmade animations on classic music, the first one I planned on doing is the Artmania Cats sing Kalamazoo in a Bob Clampett like cartoon. Bob Clampett is one of my favorite animators.

When this amazing song gets into the public domain in like the late 2030s, or if i can get rights to it, I will be making it into an animated music video.

The cats were inspired by my favorite cartoon, Kitty Kornered (1946) with the 4 zany cats. Highly recommend you watching it, it's hilarious, and also features my favorite character, Porky Pig.

Maybe soon I should talk about Classic Cartoon Cats and Dogs on my blog presumably this month.

Have a good day and I will make another post tomorrow like always. 👍

Reviewing Fantasia (1940)

I watched a few classic disney movies already like Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, The Three Caballeros, The Adventures Of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and Alice In Wonderland, and now I recently watched Fantasia. And I thought it was incredibly massive.

This isn't going to be a long review. I'm simply just giving my own thoughts about every chapter in the movie.

Toccata And Fugue In D Minor

The first music segment in the movie and I have to say it's my least favorite easily, but then again it's the start and there are alot of positives to it. The colors are really vibrant and even though I don't like to experience abstract art, it's very well animated here. It's an easy distraction.

The Nutcraker Suite

Now this is where it really begins. I really like the animation of the fairies, and the mushroom dance segment was cute. Everything else is just really comfortable to look at.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Mickey gets his own scene in this segment and he's really enjoyable, this is easily the most iconic part in the whole movie. It's really unforgotten and has a good plot to it. I have nothing else to say than it's just perfectly good.

Rite Of Spring

This is by far my favorite segment in the entire movie. I was astounded by the volcano and lava part, it just felt too professional but in a good way and the animation on the dinosaurs feels something not really by Disney. It's one of the best and still looks massive even after 80+ years. Love this one.

The Pastoral Symphony

This is also among my favorite parts of this movie. The colors are absolutely amazing and the characters are really vibrant, playful and heartwarming. This is one of the more longer ones but it's really good for being this long.

Dance Of The Hours

This one is solid even though it gets better once the crocodiles appear.

Night On Bald Mountain

People say that this is one of the best parts of the film, and while I don't agree too much on that, I can't disagree either. I love the animation and it feels a certain vibe. Could be good for halloween even. I saw a few clips of it and I'm glad I seen all of it.

Ave Maria

The last segment of the entire movie. It's a good way to end it. I like it. 👍

This was such a great watch that it was just beautiful from start to finish. I'll have to admit it, it's not my favorite classic disney film, I tend to prefer a film with more realistic, and funny characters, but it's still a classic gem. I'm giving this an 8.5. The reason why I'm giving this a 8.5 instead of a 9, it's because it's not a movie I would want to watch again, and I kinda wished there was a little bit of sound effects or at least a word out of the characters especially the crocodiles in Dance Of The Hours, but you know what, they don't need to do that because it's perfectly good by itself. I'm planning to do more movie reviews in the future.

Anyways have a good day and I will see you next time. Bye-a! 👋

Classic Cartoon Cels

Another Classic Animated tool that people used back then were called Animation Cels. Yes, back then they pretty much drew the characters, had paint to color them in and put it on the background in every single frame. How cool is that? I'll show you what it looks like.

I'm willing to watch Fantasia (1940) this month. I seen a few clips and it looks massive.

Animation Cels have been around since well, animation has started to exist.

Sometimes you would focus on one object/character at a time. One cel you have the seal, and the 2nd cel you have Mickey Mouse. Making both of those cels stick onto the background. I learned that from a video I recently watched.

Cell 1 - Teacup
Cell 2 - Teapot (without handle)
Cell 3 - Handle for teapot
Cell 4 - Pink Panther

The cels that were used there were pretty much used when animation was considered going through a downfall in the 60s to 70s.

This is what people say is the worst animation ever by that time period and to my expense to the animation I don't mind it.

This had huge effort somehow.

Nice. These are characters from Wind In The Willows (1949).

You can tell that sometimes when you find cel animation online or whatever, there's a little bit of messy detail on the characters.

The old vintage camera is where it's at it when everything is ready to go and the animation starts to feel it's motion and prepares for what is behold on the movie screen, TV or whatever.

Throughout the 80s to 90s, cel animation was still used commonly with animators. However it came to a close when people were all over computers and modern era technology around the early 2000s.

Behind the scenes, animation nowadays on the computer still has a pack of 2D films but also 3D to make it more realistic and vibrant. Its coming to an age where animation is a passion and involves in alot of different resources and genres, airing in movie theaters, now getting 100M-1B dollars at the box office with each and every animated film.

I had fun talking about this, since animation is literally striking again and having an audience far more than ever. I'm willing to animate in the future and making people happy.

Hope you enjoy your day and I'll see you next time! Bye-a 👋

My Very First Drawings I Could Find

I first started watching and experiencing art when I was about a year old, and I grew up watching stuff on Nick Jr. the most. Shows like Yo Gabba Gabba, The Backyardigans, Ni Hao Kai Lan, and while I watched them back then, I had a real interest in doing something that would change my life. I was extremely hands-on when I was a toddler and I mostly colored with crayons on a messy piece of paper.

This isn't what I drew when I was a toddler but this was basically what my creations pretty much looked like -

For a few years I didn't really know too much on cartoon characters because I was still really little. 😅

But when I did, I really did and I couldn't stop drawing characters.

In fact the first drawing I ever found and discovered in my old drawings was a picture of Mario. I pretty much had limited color crayons back then but it's still a treasure.

Another Mario character called Bob Omb I drawn the same day as I did Mario. I felt like at that time I was obsessed with the franchise. I loved the characters designs, and I played games on my DS almost every day when I was 5 or 6.

This one is really interesting for one thing I used to have when I was little.
Of course I had toys when I was really young and I remembered having Jake and The Neverland Pirates figures of Jake and Izzy with their water jets, since I liked the show when I was around 6.

This probably isn't the very first time i drew the spongebob crew but it's the first in which is existed. Mr. Krabs looks funny, Squidward's eyes are not right and I can't see where spongebob is since I guess back then I didn't have a yellow marker.

Ok, yeah, I know I wasn't allowed to watch Aqua Teen for a reason when I was about 7 but I always loved the designs of Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad, when I first seen them they felt so different than any other character I ever seen back then.

I started to get way more skilled drawing characters when I was about 8. I was also in love for the sonic characters and basically drew every character at least the main ones. Fun Fact, I actually wanted to bring this to my elementary school once and my teachers loved it.

As of 2024, I'm a 17 year old wacky cartoonist nowadays in a love for classic animation and dancing and now my drawings look like this.

I became more of a digital artist and a cartoon character designer pro as well as drawing nostalgic like backgrounds. The future is looking bright out there.

Anyways posting more tomorrow. Bye-a! 👋
