It's that time to talk more about my favorite characters I created.
Dutcher and Ben Obvious are both neighborly salesmen who love to talk about what's happening. They are basically the down-to-earth citizens who live in the suburbs enjoying their acting career on a show, even when they forget they are on screen sometimes.
I planned to make a short film surrounding these two talking about Hollywood. Dutcher gets sick of seeing such characters as Mickey Mouse getting fame.
"Can't ya believe how fast you have to be to get loved in that darn ol' Hollywood?"
"How would anyone in the world fall for a rodent but not us?"
First things first, the host of the shorts is named Cran Melon. He sometimes blames himself for cracking jokes right at Dutcher for his fussy attitude before the cartoon starts.
Dutcher's serious and honest attitude is a real contender for entertainment. People will absolutely love this guy.
Not only that but he's not afraid to swear, but refuses to swear at all cost to care for Benny.
"Now Ben, give me this, what kind of a guy do you think I am?"
That line is referenced to The Big Broadcast (1932).
You might already know how I love Crosby's films. He needs more recognition, he's truly a relatable and outstanding actor and terrific at singing.
"The charts are low for actors nowadays. That rat is a century old, we new!"
"Don't let your senses give up on ya, we'll get a job at Hollywood someday, but now we have to get through these few episodes and make people laugh."
See how truly honest and calm he is. He isn't burning in temper as if Ben isn't listening to him. Obviously this isn't animated, but ey, drawings can have emotion somehow.
Dutcher's movements speak for themselves. He doesn't like it but audiences gotta love how they're alive and healthy.
"God, I wish I had something to hold me tight!"
Dutcher then pleases, holding his fists.
"Benny, do somethin! I know sitcoms don't just stand there and have nothing!"
Ben Obvious obviously can come up with ideas very quickly. He's like Bugs Bunny and Donald, they can be masters of cleverness.
Ben sneaks into his bedroom to find all his tools, since he's expertly hands-on.
He finds a camera.
He then rushes to show what Dutcher needs.
"Oh my goodness, Ben, your, your a true hero!"
"A camera! That's what we need!"
"We shall be models by taking photos of ourselves!"
Now you may know the quality and size of the camera looks like an old simple capture type. However, this leads to something exicting when they take pictures.
Dutcher's personality in this drawing is feeling relieved. He can have a short-temper and then feel slightly better when things go in a bright sense.
That's how I am too. Dutcher is basically me. At least in public situations.
Next, if Dutcher and Ben Obvious do get the fame they deserve, they should be in a commercial.
It's an advertisement for Captain Crunch.
The only reason why this was a fun planned idea was because I remembered eating this cereal alot when I was little. I barely ate it with milk, but the berries and flakes were really good.
I'm willing to make some advertising animations someday since their easy and they don't waste a ton of frames.
It starts off with Dutcher and Ben in a dining restaurant, but why? They don't make cereal there!
What does Dutcher have to say?
"Man, what a night this has been, Ben. I-uh, oughta be telling off humanity to cook their meals"
Dutcher then decides on a unique idea for the fancy restaurant to serve.
"But wait, do you think that they might bake us some late night breakfast?"
"What an idea that can bring to the table."
Ben Obvious then thinks the most fanciest cereal is Captain Crunch, for some odd reason.
Dutcher not only has a time to calm down, but also listen to feedback too. Even though Dutcher thinks Ben Obvious's idea inside his mind is pretty stupid.
I would think I would showcase the original and not the other flavors, those are probably more harder to deal with.
Especially in the world that is AI nowadays.
Look at this piece of garbage. This is Coca-Cola we're talking about. One of the best brands of sodas in our time.
I guess, it looks pleasent and appealing, but it isn't real. All of this is generated by aliens who don't function art too well.
I can't even call this art. I mostly call it Anti-Art.
If you watch this commercial, you can clearly see the dog is perfectly still. He's not alive and feels robotic.
I seriously don't want any of you to watch these types of things for a living. I really think this stuff is dangerous, because art has been a thing for millions of years, and now everyone in the world can make whatever they want but without realistic reason.
Take a look at this and tell me that people can't think anymore. There's over 200,000 likes to this on Facebook.
I'll talk about this type of monstrosity next time, because the world cannot be this fake and unrealistic to art nowadays. We still have lots of truthful artists today, but we're getting to the point that it isn't 100% like that anymore.
Real letdown. 👎
