It's Almost Christmas Time 🎄

It's officially my winter break. So I'm willing to talk about Christmas etc

First of all I want to make another animated music video this time focusing on Rudolph, you know, the red nosed reindeer.

The title card is based off of those cartoon heads like with Hanna Barbera cartoons, more or so Tom and Jerry.

Just by the look of Rudolph's design, you may think this is familiar.

I really liked the Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer special from the 60s. It had a pleasent story and had some underrated songs.

What I loved most in this film and other Rankin Bass films is the aesthetic and character designs. It may not be the best animation ever but I find it extremely appealing myself.

Claymation had alot of inspiration on me. I didn't love it at first because it was weird but once I grew up with quirky cartoons, I was strongly obsessed with this stuff.

Anyways enough talk aside, I would love to do an animated music video myself. I already have plans to make a Glenn Miller Kalamazoo video since that's one of my favorite songs.

Christmas songs nowadays are okay. But man the classic christmas songs were the bomb.

What does All I Want For Christmas Is You got that Sinatra's Jingle Bells song doesn't? I might like both songs but classic christmas songs have way more warmth and comfort. I listened to some more modern ones recently and they seriously don't hit like they use to.

I added 4 legendary singers that defined christmas culture as we know it and yes they will be mentioned in my Rudolph animated music video.

The song is going to be remarkable. I want it to sound like the 40s classic christmas songs but also have a groovy beat with it and a storyline.

This is the official poster. Also included Santa cuz why not.

I would like to talk about what christmas songs I like the best so far as of 2024.

It's hard for me decide because almost every christmas song was at least calm and easy to listen to from what I heard.

I've been enjoying alot of the christmas songs performed by my current music heroes, Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters.

They have alot of fantastic songs.

Of course White Christmas is a classic even if it's not my favorite.

I've been loving Looks Like A Cold Cold Winter.

They both also made an excellent version of Jingle Bells as well.

I honestly love the duo, they don't get enough recognition. Bing Crosby has such a soothing and easy singing voice and The Andrews Sisters are incredibly full of energy.

They felt really special to me for some reason.

Also have to mention Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride from 1950. I heard this on the radio 2 years ago and I immediately admired this song. It sounds energetic. I'm a fan of classical music and this is no exception. This is when I started to like and grew up listening to people who passed away but are immortal singing christmas songs.

Few honorable mentions

Frank Sinatra - Jingle Bells
Bing Crosby - Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer
Dean Martin - Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
Bing Crosby- Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
Brenda Lee - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree
Spongebob Squarepants - The Very First Christmas

Yeah, not a ton of them to list but still pretty good and all I can think of. I'll definitely experience more christmas songs I never heard of before.

Lastly I designed Santa's reindeer.

The confident, fast Dasher.
The Michael Jackson styled reindeer, Dancer.
The sweet n strong, Prancer.
The pretty and charming Vixen.
The star of the snow, Comet.
The lovable, all for the red, Cupid.
The one with no emotions but cares, Donner.
And finally the extraverted, energetic Blitzen.

Tomorrow I will be talking more christmas stuff. Can't wait for the actual holiday myself. It's a fantastic holiday.

Stop being a scrooge and talk me into the truth. Christmas is all about being good, not worrying about your troubles and being grateful just like Thanksgiving 🙏

On The Town!

Loved this movie!  Decided to make fanart of the three main characters.  I admire this shot ❤️
