Ugly Duckling

Remember the tale The Ugly Duckling? Disney made two cartoons of it. That's it. Why not I do it?

It's real.

I really liked the 1939 Ugly Duckling cartoon alot, it was one of those silent cartoons with no dialogue I find myself coming back to. It's very heart-warming and watchable.

I don't know how I feel about the 1931 version of it though. I haven't watched it yet and this was at a time when the Disney cartoons weren't that full of creative spirit until Flowers And Trees came out.

My dream is to make fairytales turn into chaotic, zany, and tough-minded cartoons.

The expressions? Something like this.

Art-Mania is all about art. And I am the creator of it. I have been inspired by such entertainment such as Tex Avery's MGM Cartoons, Glenn Miller music, classic movie dance scenes, fairytales, slapstick, appropriate jokes, and of course Looney Tunes cartoons.

It's that easy.

I have the story here for what it will be like

Whats an animated story without storyboards?

Don't worry I won't make him say the mf word in the final product.

Liking it so far? I made some fun sketches for this cartoon.

This is going to take on a new approach of cartoons. Serious issues, comedy, fighting over the censors, challenging kids, making it wacky like Tex Avery, and of course chasing scenes.

So far you experienced three interesting characters.

Harold who is as vicious as a lion, and believes in discipline.

Marsha, who is overly emotional but stable.

And finally, the newborn duckling.

I also have the hunters who were willing to kidnap the duckling.

Now if I was around in the 1930s-40s, and making the cartoon, the hunters would look like this easily. But you know, it being banned and offensive. I can't blame them. I've seen worse but these were really harmful. I just made my hunters normal people at the end of the day.

As for gags, I have one so far. During when they eat dinner, there is no servings for the duckling and instantly says "MAMA" like in the cartoon The Isle Of Pingo Pongo (1938)

I already planned a few cartoons already even though none of them I made into final products yet. I planned on making a damsel in distress cartoon, a christmas special and a cartoon involving the original fable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf and for that I made over 500 characters already in the artmania series.

When I make my animated cartoons, expect something timeless, not a bunch of sound effects and actually smart and funny.

In the future when I upload these onto YouTube, I want to see garbage like cocomelon, and the AI cat videos to not be watched too often. I know my cartoon won't be as popular as those but at least have something good on your screens for once.
