The Best Cartoon For The Halloween Season

Any Tex Avery cartoon made at MGM will instantly make my day better. Tex Avery was a legend at creating gag heavy cartoons and all of them were awesome including this cartoon that fits perfectly with Halloween.

Who Killed Who is an absolute masterpiece. It's the most creative and unique out of all of his cartoons because it has some live actions bits.

That's the case in the beginning of the short where a live action host is talking to us about who killed, well, who.

What makes this perfect for the halloween season is that the dark backgrounds are so massive like with the mansion and crooked trees.

And right away, this cartoon is already a laughing stock. This gag is too good.

We get to see some amazing expressions with the main character as he is reading. He looks frightened.

And then, we get introduced to the cop who has a solid design and fresh introduction.

Great model sheet too.

Just as in, the dog in the robe was just shot, but pretty much faked the entire thing when he wanted to take a picture.

Make it worth more funny Tex Avery gags that never stop making me laugh.

At the end of the cartoon, the cop finally reveals who is the killer and it was in fact the opening host. This was a really funny ending and great editing for a cartoon made 8 decades ago.

Some people say the best halloween cartoon to watch is one of the B&W cartoons like The Skeleton Dance and The Mad Doctor, and some people like the stop motion movies the best.

To me, the best halloween cartoon I would recommend you watching that doesn't give the credit it deserves is this cartoon. Who Killed Who. It's that haunted.

That and also

Bye Bye Bluebeard (1949)

Scaredy Cat (1948)

Legend Of Sleepy Hollow (1949)

Lonesome Ghosts (1937)

Halloween is in less than 10 days as of writing this so I can wait myself.
Have a good few days until it's get spooky and dark and yeah,
Bye-a 🎃
