Fun In The Fiction Farm

I've been planning on making a farm series since I watched the Foghorn Leghorn cartoons. They were so unique, and hilarious.

They were one of the best Looney Tunes cartoons back then. I still recall alot of the slapstick and characters to this day.

Back then I would've still had a hard time talking about what character or cartoon I liked best because they were so satisfying and interesting to me. But now that I watched every Looney Tunes short and not having to hold my opinions on things as much, I have a standard affair with the Looney Tunes shorts.

I realized that drawing animals and timeless personalities could make a good product. So I tried it out when I was beginning to be a teenager.

I mean, I could draw more better than when I was 8, and when I was 13, I started to watch more YouTube and classic cartoons.

This is what got me started. A chicken rooster that abuses a cow to work more hard and pay off.

Last year I wrote some information about the Fiction Farm and this is how it goes.

Mr. Cockedee and his friends live in Corncop Fields.

More information I gathered was that the area was mostly sunny. Barely any rainfalls, if I'm being honest with you, I would love to make a cartoon where Corncop Fields has rain someday.

The Coyote and Roadrunner cartoons may be iconic, but I always mumbled at them because they barely had any other forecasting environments to them, it was always the same hot and dry desert.

This is a model sheet of Mr. Cockedee. The name is based off of rooster's main catchphrases, "Cock-A-Doodle-Doo" and I thought Cockedee was just a catchy piece of wordplay.

I had alot of fun designing the rest of the gang. In the next few sentences, I'll talk about all of these characters and their distinct characteristics.

Let's start with the first one. Spring Baby. The cutest chick you'll ever see. All he ever does is whine and humanity itself throws with good aiming a bottle.

Grampy Goat is described as the old timer curmudgeon of the farm. His duty is to lay all day quietly sometimes playing hillbilly songs with his violin. He doesn't pay attention to too much authorities but is willing to try his best with his useful cane.

Grampy Goat's pose on the left side of the drawing is inspired by this drawing of Old Bugs in The Old Grey Hare.

What you need to know about Grampy Goat is that he's one of the more complicated characters to draw. His hat places right on one of his trusty horns not on the head, it'll fall and not stay balanced.

The Quackerson Brothers

Montogomery and Quackintosh are two classy-talk ducks who strive for eating a decent meal. Their opportunity on doing that is by talking to themselves chat to chat. They are birds who basically want to eat a chicken, a cow's pile of milk, or a lamb chop. They're basically the villains of the series but they have such a wise and soothing relationship to them that we all can appreciate.

While talking about the other characters that I didn't have time to make art for. Do you know what else we're missing?

Cal Cow, he's the first character I designed from this pack.

Ms. Bo Blacksheep, is one of the few black portrayed characters I ever made. She's got masterful cooking skills, and has a love for singing alongside baking the food.

Henrietta Hen is Mr. Cockedee's formal wife. She lays a ton of eggs and described more efficient than her husband.

Scarecrow Jim is well, a scare-crow. He's usually located in the main side of Corncop Fields where all the plants and food grow. And yes if you didn't tell, farmers come by once in a while.

Lastly, the dog. I named him Chilly Dog because why not. His sneaky yet practical nature is not enough for Mr. Cockdee's demands. Cockedee himself thinks that his dog is just another average housepet who has half brains not similar to a human.

Mr. Cockedee has his own wake-up call tune. I don't have any suggestions of what song will sound like yet.

I almost want to make these sorta like the runtime of a classic comedy short. Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy style. Those films are 15-18 minutes long.

Hopefully you'll like alot of these characters I came up with all in a matter of minutes.

I love a good bit of countryside and relaxed atmospheres!
