A Mouse In The House Has An Interesting Animated Scene Inside!

I don't think I ever seen this type of animation in Tom and Jerry like this.

You might not know what I'm talking about, so go ahead and have a read yourself and see what I mean.

Rarely does the Tom and Jerry cartoons used to stretch their heads like that.

This was in A Mouse In The House (1947), it's a really funny cartoon with the usual timeless slapstick.

For the most part Tom, Jerry and Butch look like this, it would change with one certain animator that would be unique than any other animator who worked on the Tom and Jerry shorts at that time.

The moment begins when Jerry wants to be held on to by Butch.

You can tell that back then there wasn't just one silly animator working on these animated shorts, their was more than 3 animators taking charge making the films.

The animators who worked on this cartoon were Kenneth Muse, Ed Barge, Richard Bickenbach, and Don Patterson.

After doing the research to see who animated this unique smooth bit, it was Patterson.

I love Tom's facial expressions in this. It stuck to me when I first saw it.

Even Butch is different in this. I kinda prefer him like this than what he usually looks like for the most part in his cartoons.

The part where Butch grabs Jerry is stellar.

If I drew Tom it would kinda look like this.

I love these frames alot. It gives me Bob Clampett vibes.

After that unique animated bit done by Don Patterson, the next scene is like this. They're back with their more polished look.

In fact, the Don Patterson animated segment wasn't my favorite part about this cartoon, it was really good but I have to give credit to this scene when Tom and Butch are both having a duel with each other, but Tom straight up turns around and Butch makes a really funny wiggle.
This scene is a classic.

Well that was fun. Tom and Jerry was always fun. I didn't love it at first, but once I got into the classic taste, getting used to the audio, and got used to the silent personality of the characters, I loved it so much. I don't love all of Tom and Jerry, but most of their classics, I would highly recommend you checking out.
