Just by looking into the title, it's definitely better than a movie sequel at least. 

I don't have anything to say, but enjoy the drawings.

The Secret Of NIMH Backgrounds

I recently watched The Secret of NIMH, it was a fantastic movie, despite the crow scenes. The backgrounds were massive, and I ought to share a ton of cool ones. 

I would highly recommend checking out this film. It's dark, mature and beautiful. This was the first Don Bluth movie I ever experienced, and he's got extraordinary lots of talent. 

Also like to note, that I know I'm celebrating Thanksgiving first and in my opinion getting into the Christmas spirit is kinda disrespectful and unnecessary as of now, but I would still like to check out a few holiday shorts and movies, another film that Bluth made was called The Small One, looks really great, and since we're almost moving away from Disney+ soon, I'll highly check it out before it's too late.

DVDs - The More Palatable Choice

 

I was searching on Disney+ to see what was interesting. Turns out they own everything on their streaming service. I found out that people are watching Cocomelon on there which feels peculiar.

There is a slight chance that we're not going to have Disney+ anymore, I could understand all the disastrous things that's happening with the streaming service nowadays. Like I was saying, I have DVDs of the films I love. Slight lost of internet connection? The DVDs don't have any problems like that. Does it have scene selections so it doesn't take you like forever to re-watch and look for a certain scene? 

DVDs are for you. 

I'm starting to think they're the most deserved things we have for watching movies. To me parts of YouTube and other social platforms ruined a good bit of my actual interests. It's easy to be distracted by stuff on the internet, but I don't think we should deserve to experience everything around us. But as someone who accepts the pleasures of entertainment and details, this is what I found about the Disney movies on Disney+.

After I looked into the One Hundred and One Dalmatians DVD I noticed how much passion and care that went into it. The special features were the best editions. This is the extras included in the Disney+ version of the movie. The only option is watching the trailer, which isn't really that exciting. 

Now here's the extra features on the 2008 2-disc Platnium edition of the DVD. 

It's more intriguing and interesting. It tells you certain information like the restoration, and has a nice and cool experience of watching Walt Disney himself talk about the actual movie alongside songs that were not included in the film. This is awesome.

I'm a huge fan of the older Disney movies when Walt was still alive. A couple of his films are my ultimate comfort films, and when I discovered that there was a use of trivia facts just made the entireity of this product more fun and engaging. 

Noting that a bizarre fact like a million of pencils were used in creating the artwork for this film is insane. 

Here's another one of my favorite Disney movies, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh. The description is more creative and extended and we're given a ton of features.

And what does Disney+ do?

 

I'm serious. This is all you get after you watch the movie. Just a basic trailer. I guess it's good in case if no-one seen the movie yet and have a quick look if they're interested in watching it or not, BUT STILL, that is incredibly not enough. If it was a more iconic movie like The Lion King or Tangled, and only had a trailer that would've sucked, turns out they do have more extra features. 

I'm not just only talking about animated movies, sometimes old movies and live action movies do this. Last March, I talked about how cool the DVD for The Broadway Melody Of 1940 from 2003 looked, same as with the Screen Legend collections. The only one I have for now is Bing Crosby's movies.

You can tell this was made from people who truly care about the effort and try to make a decent enough DVD collection. It doesn't have to look truly excellent or massive, it can just add a few pictures and an interesting color scheme. 

Also shows you actual information of the star. I had no idea that Crosby starred in exactly 79 films until now. It's good to gain knowledge into something you like and this DVD proves it.

Did you also know that some of the DVD selections including the scene indexes can sometimes be funny? I love to imagine having a short-term job where I could come up with fun names for each scene from a movie.

 

Recent November Drawings

November has been absolutely great so far. Sure the daytime hours become shorter, but I appreciate these cozy months just because I get to spend more time on my activities at night. I am more of a night owl to be honest.

Here's some drawings I did today and a few days ago.

I'm interested in movies with sensible dialogue nowadays. I watched 30s western movies as background noise and they barely have any interesting qualities. 

I watched 12 Angry Men and Arsenic And Old Lace recently and they were more heavy on the dialogue, but I really like it because it tells me the characters have more interesting personalities and soul.

Created a new character I've been enjoying to draw lately.

Donald's Diary/My Favorite Scene

This is a great cartoon, it's more adult-oriented which is nice. The style and color scheme is different and unique, and Donald is given a more sophisticated narration which I really like. I absolutely adore this short scene with Donald and his diary, it's very well-drawn. 

As of now, I'm not as huge of a fan of the main Disney characters like the Sensational Six, as much as I did back then. I'm moving on to more mature characters like the classic Disney movie and Pixar characters. The stories and personalities are much more deep and smart compared to 7 minute cartoons that consist mainly on repeated slapstick and plots.

This is probably the best design of Donald I ever seen. As an illustrator myself, this is kinda how I draw characters on a personal level. He feels more human and less basic. Heck, this whole cartoon is aesthetically pleasing. This is one of the more palatable Disney cartoons of the 50s. It's got itself a very amusing story, filled with breathtaking scenes and decent humor.

Saturday Shopping III 🛍

 

This is the third time I went to the toy-con, the previous two were last November and this June. I got some cool and fun stuff just like always. 

The place cares much about Little Golden Books as I do. Also wanted to read The Great Gatsby since I loved most of the movie.

This is so cool. I have a similar case just like this one and it's a Curious George pencil case, it's vintage, and I guess so as this one. 

These were the cutest things I ever bought. 

I also love Monchhicis. They were iconic back in the 80s. Kinda underrated nowadays.

When I seen these, I immediately wanted them. They were one of the more priced products I bought at the convention, it was worth it though.

While I was writing this, I saw the Barbie logo, turns out these are not poreclain dolls, as I thought they were. Whoops. 

Here's the bears. The bear behind Pooh is extremely vintage and rare, he was supposed to be designed to celebrate 100 years of the teddy bear, so cool, it also has cool information on the tag. 

I actually wanted to buy DVDs of animated classics. I watched all of the Disney classics on Disney+. There might be a case of canceling our subscriptions, because of the terrible news that happened with the Jimmy Kimmel stuff. I get that the streaming service can be overly nonsensical at times, so it was good to buy some of my favorite Disney films to have in my collection alongside movies I never seen before like Pixar and the traditional animated DreamWorks films.

Lastly I bought a Labubu puppy dog. I wanted to replace my Labubu toy I received on my birthday. I like the brown fur. They're really cute and I understand the appeal.
