Decided to make this day another drawing session. This is one of my characters. Here's how I did it all step by step.
On the Samsung Notes app, I first draw the sketch of the character with the pencil tool. I use a lighter dim color tone so it won't look obvious for the final product.
Here's another with Arthur Nibbles in his Artmania show purple suit black bow tie outfit. Once again I used a natural grey to simplify the model.
Next I used an ink pen to trace more bold proportions of the pose. This ends up being the final product but I still have to finish coloring it all in.
Voilà. 🌸
You may wonder what app I use to saturate and add grain affects to the drawing.
I use Picskit, a free app you can immediately download to upgrade or edit your pictures. This is a handy and recommended tool for you to get more creative and stylish with your art instead of leaving it completely flattened. I don't use it all the time to be honest but it's useful if I'm doing a massive project.
I'm starting to get to practice the feel of drawing characters and their movement flow, I kinda completely mastered drawing their heads and faces so why not actual posture? Preston Blair has some useful tips on that perhaps.
I made this specific drawing stand out than the rest of the ones I made so far within this post. You can look closely at Leuis's circle hands.
Here's Leuis in a more toned-down neutral expression. This adds more layers of realism and depth rather than me trying to go over the top cartoony and adding a bunch of nonsensical expressions.
I'm like this all the time.
Here's this immense closeup of both the pixie elf and James. This roars cinematic expression in my opinion. I love types of drawings like this.
I know that 3D can be really affective and outstanding for creatives out there but I don't think 2D needs to outright be extinct in the long run especially if it's gonna look good or have a sweeter sense of simplicity.
Now that's the end of pencil sketches and fully colorized pictures all together. Now let's just move onto the regular average stuff.
Arthur Nibbles is quite famous for being only a mouse, I mean we've got Mickey, Jerry, Mighty, and Speedy so why not him. He's a singer, an actor and a dancer.
Have never created these characters so this is all new. A group of women, ones sassy and unexpectedly victorious, while one is quiet and considerate.
You can tell I have a love for early character designs and their monumental experimenting even back in classic animation days.
Would you ever want to see some of the first designs of my characters? I discussed about it already on some of my other previous posts.
Marc Rocken and Arthur Nibbles make the greatest of vocalist talents it's easy for them to be in the bigger picture even though on the inside they're the best of friends.
I made this sorta pose of them jumping in the air. This looks like it could be on a DVD collection mixed with the shading and lighting effects from old Disney DVD covers I geniuely have a bonding childhood thing for.
Like this. These are really cool and appealing. I do like the feel of the original theatrical posters, but these are more detailed and on-model.
I call this pack, The Sneering Stooges a playoff of The "Three" Stooges. They are somewhat unlike them but they do sense their original slapstick and humorous in-between chatting.
Lastly I invented Tire's interesting and goofy looking expressions. This dog is already in the merchandising department as I was working on some more enamel pin ideas to enhance my school to become more adaptable and spirited.
