Recent Artmania Drawings

Here's some more recent drawings you'll definitely enjoy.

I'm starting to think these characters I created are more fun to draw than my more popular ones.

This is a quick sketch of a few of the characters. James, his trusty pixie elf,
There's some new characters I added. My idea was to have another partner for the elf, and a anthropomorphic warthog.

I actually came up with the complete plot. This is where he looses his peanut. His special treat.

This is probably one of the more cartoony aspects. The idea of The Pixie Elf leaving his good ol' elephant buddy behind, makes him completely unhappy and crotchety. Just seconds later one of James's bullies, enters and gives the pixie elf guidance.

The pixie elf is really sensitive to change and forgetfulness. So his miserable expression says it all when he meets a new kid trying to help him, turns out he's just annoying and rude as ever.

I'm not fully into drawing all the character's body proportions yet but I think I definitely still have time to improve and emulate the lively facial expressions and looks since when making a character the obvious part is well, the face.

That's all I have for James and his friends for now.

A few days ago I created one of the 3 famous artmania female actresses, Gabriela Motorella, here's Jenna Pier.

I love alot of female actresses, most of the ones I like are dancers. Vera Ellen is probably my favorite alongside Ann Miller, Betty Garrett and Judy Garland.

Next I made a more victorian era styled cast of characters. I swear I'm obsessed with drawing characters with bizarre outfits.

There's one character I was impressed at creating the most and that's the guy on the right of the image.

I admired how this man turned out. This is me trying to emulate cel art with random posing.

Here's some more recent models of Leuis. I love drawing his pony-tail.

Whenever I draw from home, I always look into the Preston Blair book. It's really useful for not just animation but for doodling in general.

Last time I posted a drawings post, I mentioned the inspiration behind Leuis. Yes, he is the definition of a Disney protagonist styled character but I added my own personal flavor to the design. Completely making a totally original person.

The truth is James, The Pixie Elf, and Leuis are not characters from fairy-tales or book adaptations. I mean why would I say that? Ey, it's just a circumstance.

This is a pencil sketch of Leuis and his koala partner.

Needed to turn this drawing into a digital version of the original sketch.

I simply love Samsung's Notes app. It's not as bland as it seems. It has loads of tools. What i did is paste the picture and trace with ink paint and color it completely. There's no water bucket, so this took me longer than it does on a computer.

Tried to experiment a little bit with this one. Instead of the entirety of Leuis holding the torch with black outlines. There's variety to the outlines of the drawing.

Speaking of Preston Blair, he's truly timeless, this is a drawing of another character I made Sovia, and a generic but well-crafted bulldog.

This was just a practice. I doubt it would make it to the final product.

Flora The Forest Queen and Prince Ranger

When I made comics when I was very little, I knew that you don't really have to start creating when you grow older because in that regard, I simply can make whatever pleases me on a sheet of paper and it would still impress people.

The Artmania Show is a huge example of my current interests and childhood experiences. I always loved hands-on and adventurous stuff and music that was truly the best there was.

When I listen to The Merry Macs, Glenn Miller or Nat King Cole, they genuinely sound so heavenly and real.

This is a scripted and prompted intro of Dredd, Phillips and Szac wearing vocal quartet masks.

The perfect introduction to any film or episode is to make the characters high-spirited and comedic as possible while impressing audiences.

Gets me excited when someone says "Today we're gonna go on an adventure somewhere you've never invested in the real world."

I loved this stuff when I was a kid because all you ever do on earth is live in a society with a bunch of people and cities and parks. It's so cool seeing characters partaken in fairytales, storybook settings and travelling wherever they want. Not every show I seen done it amusingly, but it shouldn't be forgotten.

Not only do filmmakers have interest in it but also authors too. I'll talk about it in another post.

Western sheriffs are one of the coolest role models in history. Strangely enough these concept designs of my own sheriff seem to be all over the place. One of them has an elf hat.

Before I go, I got a Bugs Bunny plush for Easter of him napping. Probably the cutest gift I gotten in a long time.
