Paintings Galore/Vintage Goodies

I love a good bit of vintage and old paintings and my favorites seem to be pin-up model art. These are absolutely glorious, they have had wide appeal for generations and it's time for me to be able to talk about these once more.

Al Buell is probably my favorites when it comes to this style. He designs one of the best pin-ups. I love this one here where we get to see the fully watercolored portrait of the woman, but the other 2 are minimal sketches.

I never knew why I was so drawn to artists like this, but there's one thing I can consider myself saying when it comes to this style of artistry, it's eloquent, authentic and peaceful. There's not a ton of action or nonsense about, it's all plain simple.

Al Buell alongside other artists I admire knew the truth about self-realization.

Here's something ambitious and massive, one of my favorites from Al.

Next is Pearl Frush, it's such a rare circumstance to explore a female glamour artist, but I'm glad I'm able to talk about her because she's extremely overlooked and not alot has been said about these paintings. They're highly influential and handsome.

I absolutely adore these portraits. It's dreamy and fancy but in a very cute way. Simple yet extremely captivating.

The colors to this one is giving off honey-sweet visual appeal. To me it feels like an absolute blessing to have someone draw you in a more polished and exquisite style in hand-drawn fashion.

I actually have a drawing of one of my female characters, Magsie that resembles Frush's drawings but this was made even before I knew about her art.

Alexander Sharpe Ross has had a collection of remarkable paintings, his art is interesting, like both Frush, and Buell, alot of realism and soft natural textures help gain instant appeal, to me at least.

Ross has variety in his artistic skills, I love how in this painting, both the man and woman have a grayish tone than the usual colors applied to their realistic values.

Finally, Andrew Loomis, he's a portrait expert in almost every single turn he fabricates. I need to know more about him. I love his sense of realism. It's to a perfect extent if I'm totally being honest with you.

If I can experience this man full flight I'll definitely be making a singular post on his work.

I absolutely love these colors!

The blue skies are really nice, I love the bright but natural yellow dress, and I love the extra addition of adding butterflies and flowers to the illustration. This guy's got a thing for mother nature.

Well, I'm outta here, hopefully learning about these new sets of artists makes you want to explore more about them, they deserve attention and recognition in that regard.

I got some posts related to this specific topic you don't wanna miss!

Nostalgic Appeal - The Threequel (Childhood TV Shows)

This is Part 3 Of Nostalgic Appeal

This part I'll be talking about a genre of shows I watched that feel warm inside, these TV shows I watched over countless of times.

This is a rare show that aired on Nick Jr, called Blue's Room, I remember this show and I watched a few of the episodes, and just coming back to it, this show looked absolutely gorgeous and highly enjoyable. Such an appealing show.

I absolutely love the colors in this shot, there's a ton of purple, but it's not blended in and has a ton of different tones like with the girl's skin, and the treasure box. These colors are really unique but natural.

This is the episode I remember the most where they chat about If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, classic book and great colors, seriously these shots hit me.

I don't think this show aired at all on the Nick Jr. channel when I was born, but I did like Blue's Clues and one time, I recieved a DVD, and was watching the episodes from there.

This is the one.

This show alongside others I watched had the same, going on an adventure, solving problems and using imaginations premise. This was so popular on kids television programs when I was very young and lets just say that was for the best.

The next show you probably seen me mention before in my Thank You TV post.

https://sngexplorationblog.blogspot.com/2024/10/thank-you-tv.html?m=1

This show was really fun. The entire production felt nostalgic and pleasing. I also liked the characters and the songs.

The colors are out of the ordinary. I don't think you'll ever see such a unique set of colors in any other show except this one. This makes the show more entertaining if you ask me.

Pajanimals had alot of potential. I didn't watch this show as much as the previous ones but I still liked it and have sweet memories for it.

The cast of characters are also colorful and memorable. For instance this image, the sky looks absolutely stunning. I also love the calm atmosphere, I wish I would live in this place, I bet there's no bustling and busy shenanigans, and it's all so soft and whimsical.

The entire premise of this show was genius.

This is what it feels like when they turn the lights off. Love it.

This is a random frame I captured. It's a really great shot. This feels like your sucked into simpler times. The baby blues, the little toys on the shelf, the line pattern on the walls, this scene is perfect to observe.

Sprout was my all-time favorite channel as a kid and I would remember watching a little of Sesame Street, wasn't the biggest fan of the entirity of the show, but I did like some of the segments, there was this one series called Ernie and Bert's Great Adventures and always recalled the intro, this is nostalgic to the max.

I love the things going on in the theme song. The claymation is also really well animated.

I love this type of stuff, it really sucks you into another world but the characters are still authentic and actual.

Here's links Parts 1-2.

The Story Of Memorial Day

How about something a little bit more fun and jam-packed this time?

To celebrate Memorial Day, I created my own original story of the holiday, with my toys and other collectibles in my bedroom.

So as begins...

It begins in a quiet but astounded look at the exploration bedroom as we see cool posters, books, and DVDs on shelves.

It was all perfectly normal and peaceful until their was a big plan going on in the toy section.

Jiminy Cricket and Donald were all suited and dressed up, but there was no way they could run for miles to look for the band leader and band-members who'll play music for them.

Porky rushed the scene and said "What a day this has been! I- is there anything I c-c-could do to warm up the mood?

Jiminy said, "Not quite, Porky, we're very busy right now. We're planning for the Memorial Day celebration, and it's important for us to celebrate those who served The United States Armed Forces."

Porky agreed and so did the others who heard Jiminy's heartfelt and respectful speech.

Porky had a quirky idea, he hired his own clones to take part of the plan, Porky asked his big friend to advise Porky's still-posed cousin to take orders and talk to anyone who knows where to find the band-mates.

Just as time rolled by, a dog named Pluto knew about someone who was able to seek and call for attention. Pluto barked at Jasmine and told her in dog language if Goofy was awake to search for the band.

Jasmine knew alot about Goofy too, most notably for how they are in the same animation company and have a timeless presence. She asked if a letter could be a good idea and Pluto agreed.

The letter was advised to the real Porky.

So off went the letter flying in existence, in a span of a few miles, Goofy got hit by the paper-plane and opened the letter.

"Gawrsh! Didn't realize it came this close!" Guh-huh! Better call out the band. They're gonna be excited when they hear 'bout this!"

So as fast as he could possibly be, Goofy was prepared, and ready to ride alongside his pet giraffe to look for the band. He gives off a whistle as a signal.

The giraffe finally arrives and Goofy immediately jumps on his back.

While Goofy rides with his giraffe companion, he stops by Band Concert Mickey.

Goofy asked if there was any sign of the band-members to promote a concert for Memorial Day and Mickey himself said it would be splendid. He had this to say.

"Why of course pal, now uh, I'm kinda runnin' late here myself, ho-ho. I bet all of them should be prepared, but I do have one member with me, and that's the cornball with the saxaphone."

"Did somebody call me?"

"Aw, there he is!" Mickey said in a enthusiastic tone.

I'm sorry Goofy, but tuh, I gotta go, thanks for stoppin' by!"

"Wait a minute!" Goofy exclaimed.

"Whats wrong pal?" Mickey replied.

"I wanna come with ya!"

So off Band Concert Mickey, Goofy and his giraffe arrived at the party.

"W-welcome to the party, fellas." said Porky.

Porky asked what brought them here.

Mickey had alot to say, but he would go all day talking about it.

Goofy explained in more shorter detail.  "Well, it was like this, I rode my little animal off to meet my friend Mick, who was preparing for his, uh, what is you doin'?" Goofy whispered to Mickey's circular ear,

"Oh, yes we were planning to perform a song!"

"Wait a minute, THAT'S IT?" Goofy yelled.

"Yeah pal, not as big as I planned it to be, but it's something a little special to celebrate I suppose."

Porky was confuzzled why there was only one member by their side.

One toy however thought of something magical and impossible, that would help awaken the rest of the band-members.

"I have this lamp thanks to The Genie, I had this holding my hand for the longest time, so it'll be useful to grant a magic wish to see if it'll come true or not!"

"Why Al, your a g-g-genius!" Porky said.

"Don't we all agree with his plan?" said a crystal miner dwarf named Doc.

Everyone stated yes so Aladdin rubs his trusty lamp and states his wish.

Just in a matter of seconds, Aladdin's wish was in fact true, the band-leaders were asleep and all the sudden a candle lighten up.

Every single one of them woke up, the pig said "There was no way that candle did that!" It was all out of battery ages ago!"

"Why fellas, we're running late here! We were supposed to get ready and strike the band!" the monkey said.

He suddenly smashed his cymbals as a wake-up call for somewhat no reason, but it was waking up the ski rider bear.
He came immediately and said "Whats all the ruckus? Man, its dark! Shouldn't you guys be sleepin?"

"What makes you think this is nighttime? It's literally 12 in the afternoon!"

The bear was utterly confused, but he excepted the truth from his friends."

"Okay, we ought leave immediately to look for Mickey, I'm sure he's all ready for the concert." So they left and quickly voyaged.

But in the vain of casual areas, they had to face challenges.

"Ow-ee!" shouted the cat with the trombone. He got bitten by the trouble-maker dentures. This little fella was going to ruin this poor ol kitty's run especially when they were making through the big pile of books.

"Alright now, this is very tricky, do your best to jump and avoid the ground at all cost" informed the bear.

While they go through the pile of Disney books, the pig spotted a random book lying amidst.

"Now this is relaxing, don't know why it ended up here."

Most of the gang perfectly arrived safe at the last book, but one was struggling.

"Oh my..." said the dog.

"Ey kitty you can do it!"

The cat was still bothered by the annoying set of dentures.

Until...

THUD!

The poor ol' cat fell to the ground, he soft-spokenly said "owch..."

"Don't worry kitty, we'll help you!" shouted the monkey.

The cat was very pleased to hear such words from one of his mates, he was safe and reached the ledge of the last book.

The monkey then looked directly at dentures, "You should be ashamed of yourself, you should've kept your own pace!"

The dentures briefly apologized and tried not to bother and ruin someone's run again."

And so, all of the band-members jumped to the gigantic pile of paper.

They all made it at last because one individual named Spongebob shouted "Are you ready? Cuz I'm ready!"

All of the members yelled "YES WE ARE!"

Spongebob reached over and landed a hand from the members, alongside Sandlot's The Beast, and King Bugs's scepture.

The rest of the toys were rooting for the members to finally give it their all to perform the concert in honor of Memorial Day celebrants.

"Remember thisth awtta be good!" warned Daffy.

"I thought I heard something." said Jasmine.

Band Mickey said "I heard it too, it must be-"

The band members finally reached to the top, all of them cheered with delight.

"W-W-What a surprise this is!" acclaimed Porky.

Both Jesus and Jiminy praised all the overcoming possibilities and strengths given to the band-members.

Jiminy asked Jesus, "They finally made it safely and it's all because they care about what's important to them and to others."

Jesus politely agreed with what Jiminy offered with his speech and with his loyal and godly powers, he truly accepted that everyone will have a pleasurable time, and celebrate Memorial Day as it should be.

So therefore, Band Leader Mickey proceeds to conduct and perform, everyone is impressed and claps along to the march of the song.

However, the song interrupts, Mickey stopped and thought to himself, "We're missing something!"

With full glance, Mickey said we should design a picture!

And finally it was set, the song continued and Memorial Day just got even better.

Porky popped up to say "H-H-Happy Memorial Day!" πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

And said his famous line "Th-Th-That's All Folks!"
