Artmania Character Drawings

What's the best thing to do?

Draw my own original classic characters.

You'll be seeing alot of Szac here.

One of the thousands of fashion icons.

The outfit is referenced to Disney's The Fox Hunt (1938)

Szac is going to be our modern Bugs Bunny with the drag, trust me.

Here's some random human drawings.

The Impact Of 30s Music

I've decided to listen to more songs from the 1930s. I was actually surprised.

Just like I said with the 1940s, music that decade was unbeatable and was my favorite out of all the music eras.

The 1930s is probably my 2nd favorite music decade in existence. Before, I didn't dislike it but I wasn't fond to knowing it all that much, but after listening to over 50 songs, I was listening to some underrated and classic gems.

I think the first time I ever truly liked this decade of music was with the Betty Boop cartoons. When I was little I was anti-old, vintage, so I didn't like to hear grainy audio.

But now, I LOVE IT!

What made the 30s music so fascinating and captivating, was that it was the start of actual good music. Big Bands, Swing, and high spirited energy all arrived and aged gloriously.

We didn't need overall filler and obnoxiousness like ragtime and quartets, we needed true sound and power!

Here's an example of a good song from this time period.

I love the intro to this one! It really fits in with a movie too. It has alot of creative lyrics. Dudley Mecum sure is a really overlooked and fun singer.

It also picks up the pace a little which is what I like about it.

Just feels like when the 30s hit, entertainment was at it's golden age. It's cool that we have internet nowadays to research and explore artists from the past. It's certainly a life changing experience.

It was also a golden age for black entertainers as well. I like alot of them, Duke Ellington for instance, I love his smile, Louis Armstrong is iconic, Billie Holiday is awesome and Cab Calloway is an absolute genius.

When it comes to the songs I enjoyed the best so far from the 30s library, it's always the rare, unpopular ones.

Like I said, I love Forty-Second Street.

I have a love for The Boswell Sisters.

I would boldly assume the 30s were more famous in pop culture, I mean I definitely agree. There were so much struggles, but also passion.

I love the old fashioned music the best because it tends to not be too loud nor boring either. You may not love it yourself, but I wouldn't recall you hating it. This era and especially the 40s was really interesting, it sets off for being the most influential eras of music to date.

Even though the musicians are not with us today, I still highly respect them, and they deserve to be experienced at least once to get the love and recognition.

Angel And Devil Side

You know, for being out in the world with loads of people and loads of work, I can understand why I have to deal with it.

Everyone has a different side to their brain like the left or right.

The left is the logical, and factual side.

The right is the creative, emotional side.

As for who will guide you, you'll either have trust for an angel or devil.

Do you ever want to know which side you just trust more?

I love those angel and devil cartoons alot. Mostly when they are on character's shoulders. It's such a clever and smart idea.

Here is a cartoon I grew up watching.

I remember loving Andy since pandas were my favorite animals at that time.

This cartoon is called Apple Andy (1946).

Coming back watching this one, it isn't as watchable and memorable as I thought it was going to be, but I still like alot of the parts.

For one thing, the devil is so evil in this cartoon. He's literally poisoning Andy by spraying the green apples, red. Sheesh.

I also like the main song, Up Jump The Devil.

Classic cartoons rarely have a theme song during the cartoon, which is what I like about this particular short.

I mean this was in the late 40s, almost everything this decade had powerful artistry.

The first few classic cartoon shorts I ever watched including this one has had an influence on me which is pretty shocking to say at the least.

The Cookie Carnival (1935), The Mad Hatter (1940), Rabbit Fire (1951), and this one are my childhood favorites.

You know a devil can do alot of naughty stuff, and you shouldn't listen to them. The trustworthy angel beats the devil panda in a very well-animated fight scene.

This is really underrated. The angel panda zips the devil panda's mouth.

Pokes his eyes like The Three Stooges

And then the angel defeats the crap outta him, leaving his horn stuck on the trees, and we get this priceless and memorable frame.

What's a perfect way to end this cartoon off?

With a song, a really catchy song at that.

I can name another solid cartoon like Apple Andy and that's Donald's Better Self.

Y'know after watching these, I just never want to be on the bad side. It just isn't right.

I know I care a little.

I made my own versions of the angel and devil since they are the most timeless duos in history.

Right up there with Santa and Ms. Claus and Mary and Joesph.

I did more with the devil since he has such a cool design and I felt proud about it.

We gotta respect morality somehow.

Personalities really matter these days, we're not always liking everyone anymore, but not for bad reasons, just having an opinion and taste to certain things.

Artifical Intelligence - The Anti-Art

I previously mentioned AI in yesterday's post.

This is piece of media that needs to be stopped at this point of time.

Remember when all of us watched something that was real and beautiful?

We would all have good impressions with what we watch and experience. People can have their own unique style to create whatever they want. But not all of them would. The ones who were willing to create, had to be truly official and hard-working to craft something unique and exicting.

But after those millions of years of inventing art, it all came downhill when AI was officially born.

People all over the world could create anything they want, but without the creative budget and thinking brain they deserve.

Look at this image. Sure it may look appealing and not too bright, but what's really wrong with it, is how unimaginable it truly is.

Now when AI first became popular, it wasn't anything too special, just a fun way to make bizarre unrealistic art online.

But when it really started getting recognition, it was badly conceived with dangerous and inappropriate channels on YouTube.

Take Cute Cat AI for example. One of the worst channels to exist.

They have these truly depressing stories kids and mostly adults do not want to see.

No one wants to come home and watch a sad story with cute kittens in it. Also the narrating in this sucks, it's AI generated too.

Now let's talk about the character design style.

This is probably the least offensive type of artificial intelligence, but it's still really lifeless.

This what we really get folks, just bland 3D still characters that stare into your soul and talk like robots.

No one wants to learn or love these characters. In fact, they all have different designs and backgrounds every single frame sequence, so you won't really be seeing the same design over and over again, it just moves on to another character like they swapped roles or something.

Why AI movies is a bad idea.

This is supposed to be a movie trailer of some kind, and this is where things start to become dangerous to universally unexpectable.
If we get an AI movie that will be released to theatres even worldwide, this whole world is gonna have a severe meltdown.

Commercials

This is definitely, by far, the worst thing Coca-Cola has ever done. Last year, they officially released an AI generated christmas commercial, and it really SUCKS.

At least it's better than the cat story videos, but that's not saying much.

The Facebook Then And Now Pictures

Yes, you heard me. This has had a leading impact on a social app. I swear up to this point, these type of posts have 1 million likes.
If anyone is either pressing the laugh or angry face with these posts on Facebook, I respect you.

I don't know how these accounts exist, making fake news, fictional stories, and lies.

I can tell you, that guy is not 120 years old, he looks 70 if you ask me.

At least these are not all getting the impact. People can actually have brains and tell what's true or not with this type of content.

But honestly, I'm not completely outraged whenever I see these posts, they can be really entertaining, not in a good way, but understand people are not always respected with their audience.

I can complain and truly dislike stuff like Cocomelon, Peppa Pig and some of the Censored 11 cartoons, but those at least were actually made by real people.

Now that I'm finally finished with AI images, here is some real masterpieces and true work of art.

We can't let art and talent die.
